Ethiopia West Arsi Werka Nensebo Natural
This coffee comes from around the Nensebo washing station, located in the West Arsi zone. Nearly 850 smallholder family farmers surrounding the Werka Village delivery freshly picked coffee to the A.A.S.H. Nensebo washing station. This coffee is naturally processed and is constantly rotated on the beds to ensure even drying, and any under ripe cherries are picked out during the drying process. Drying time for this coffee is approximately 15-18 days depending on the weather.
When brewed, this coffee has a sweet strawberry yogurt fragrance which translates well into the cup. It has a mild malic acidity with hints of mandarine orange, strawberry, yogurt and milk chocolate. It has a medium-light body with a silky/slightly creamy mouthfeel.
While the flavors are fruity this is an approachable cup of coffee. It doesn’t have the bitey/winey flavors some Natural Ethiopian coffees may have, it is extremely pleasant to sip on.
